In regards to the caption for your photo entitled Chernobyl_002, Pripyat is located in Ukraine, not Russia. It was formerly part of the USSR at that time, but there are all very different things. Posted by Drapala (guest) on Mon 13 Aug 2012 11:01:37 PDT cXcOglybaYZOh, this is finally out? I've been lkoniog forward to it actually. Not because I think it's probably going to be a good movie (Paranomal Activity wasn't that good either), but because I'm somewhat fascinated about the whole Chernobyl deal. I'd like to go there some day myself to experience the area.Thomas recently posted.. Posted by Luan (guest) on Fri 31 May 2013 18:44:56 PDT iOSHdNVvAbKhNIThat's what it looks like to me. It's the hills have eyes in russia (Ukraine maybe idk) . What do you think ?BQ1: have you ever seen a movie that just mesesd you up? When I saw the hills have eyes it scared me badly. I've had many nightmares about it. And I'm not like a baby I've seen paranormal activity and Incidius and stuff. But that just mesesd me up Posted by Naoya (guest) on Sun 02 Jun 2013 03:31:30 PDT OeQTuKsSiziuvaYou will die faster beuacse of mineral and vitamin deficiency, poor exercise, etc. than anyone else will if they take a trip to Pripyat, who? won't affect their health at all. If so, maybe cut their life short by a year. Yet they will still outlive you. Posted by Porichoy (guest) on Sun 02 Jun 2013 04:18:49 PDT VzhdJmDkTyjBrUfJCYThe more I listen to Dr. Chu speak, the less ipeemssrd I am with him.Why bring up "the really old style of reactors, for example the Chernobyl style" when no Chernobyl-style reactors were ever licensed or operated in the United States? It's a moot point. He did make one non-moot point: "The nuclear reactors today, we believe, are far safer than the ones that were built 20 and 30 years ago."Since no new nuclear plants have been licensed since the 1979 accident at TMI, I have to believe that the majority of nuclear plants operating today fall into the category of those built 20 and 30 years ago. Dr. Chu statement that today's nuclear reactors are safer implies that the older reactors are not safe. How reassuring is that statement to the general public?Dr. Chu speaks the kind of gibberish that one would expect from a politician, not a scientist.
